Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! We hope you are enjoying the time with your family and friends! This will be the last post of 2011...and I know I haven't done a great job since the wedding, but I will be better in 2012! :)

Honeymoon 6/20-6/27

VIVA MEXICO BABY! After a fabulous wedding celebration, Bailey and I enjoyed the day after with family that was still in town. We had a BBQ and gift opening evening and an early night to bed since our flight left at 7:30 Monday, June 20th.

We boarded the plane bright and early, and we both slept the entire way to Mexico so it was a quick flight. We arrived in Cancun, loaded the bus, grabbed a Corona, and couldn't wait to get to Valentin Imperial Maya. When we landed it was raining, so our first afternoon there was spent waiting for our room, enjoying drinks, playing pool and taking a nap. We got upgraded to the highest level of rooms that the resort had and we had our on patio, living room, jacuzzi tub, and private pool/bar. IT WAS AMAZING THAT WE GOT THAT FOR FREE!

Each day we would wake up and spend the day by the pool all afternoon relaxing or reading books. On Wednesday, we went on an excursion for the day to Xplor. We went zip lining, swam through caves, hammock lining, 4-wheel driving and we were exhausted by the time we got back to the resort.

Each night we enjoyed dinner out at one of the restaurants and entertainment put on by the band or crew for dancing/shows. Our favorite restaurant was the Hibachi Grill and we met some really cool people both nights that we ate there.

We had sunny weather the entire stay and enjoyed getting our tan on. Towards the end of our stay we were continually checking to see if Baby Eli had arrived, and luckily we only missed his arrival by one day. Our last morning was rainy, rainy and more rainy. It dried up enough for us to depart and head back to Texas.

We weren't ready to leave our lovely resort and we enjoyed every minute of our honeymoon together!

It has taken me awhile to post about our wedding day, but I am finally here to post. June 18, 2011 was the BEST day of my entire life as I walked down the aisle to marry my best friend in the whole world.

The day began with all the bridesmaids and myself going to get our hair at make-up done at Toni's Hairworks. We spent all morning there hanging out, drinking mimosas and of course chick-fila for lunch. After finishing up there, we all headed to The Colleyville Center to get ready for the pre-ceremony pictures. We had the best time getting ready, telling stories and taking pictures. It was of course a sneaky task to make sure that Bailey didn't see me before the ceremony. I had kept my dress a secret for over 500 days, and I wasn't about to let the secret out hours before the big reveal.

As soon as they told me I need to head over to begin the ceremony, I of course began to get really emotional and nervous but my girls held me together. Waiting for my moment to walk down the aisle I took many deep breathes before grabbing my dad's arm and walking down the aisle to "Nothing Fancy" by Dave Barnes, which holds a special place in Bailey and I's college years together. As soon as my eyes met Bailey's, I knew everything was going to be exactly like I imagined it would be.

We spoke our own vows and we were finally announced as husband and wife after 5 and 1/2 years together. As soon as Dave Anderson said, "Let me announce for the first time 'Mr. and Mrs. Chris Bailey,'" the DJ hit it and we danced down the aisle to "Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake....a song I knew would be our exit song for quite some time. Our wedding party joined us in dancing to exit the ceremony. Our guest enjoyed drinks and dinner while we completed some pictures and got ready for our big reception introduction.

We entered to "I gotta feeling" by Black Eyed Peas and started our first dance off with another one of our favorite Dave Barnes songs "On a Night Like This...." but a 1:30 into it busted out to our choreographed dance that nobody knew about. We had the best time performing and we hope that our guest enjoyed watching our grand performance.

We enjoyed the evening, dancing, drinking, photo boothin it up and spending time with family and friends. Thank you so much to everyone that came out to celebrate our big day, it was more than we could have imagined it would be. We love each and every one of you so much.

We are enjoying married life as Mr. and Mrs. Bailey every single day.

Rehearsal Dinner

Wedding weekend finally arrived on June 17, 2011. Family all came in town on Thursday, June 16th and we all enjoyed some family time at our house all evening. It was so fun to have everyone hanging out at our house enjoying games and catching up on everything in our lives.

We woke up on Friday, June 17th and hung out a little while around town before heading towards Grapevine. We all headed over around noon and stopped by the hotel that the family was staying at to check them in and then it was off to mom and dad's house to enjoy homeade lunch. We arrived to mom and dad's to meet up with Sanny, GP and Sam on who were already on that side of town. We chilled around the house all afternoon until 3:00 when some of us had to head up to the Colleyville Center for Rehearsal.

We checked out everything at the Colleyville Center and then around 4:00 we actually started practicing the for the ceremony and we ended up finishing a little bit early. Rehearsal dinner was at Chill, but it wasn't until 6:30 pm, so all the family went back to chill at the hotel while Bailey and I met some friends up there early.

We enjoyed yummy pasta, pizza, salad and drinks with our amazing friends and family at Chill. Everyone hung out until about 10:00 pm and then they headed out while we stayed with some of our close friends to dance the night away.

Bailey and I stayed at mom and dad's house that night and the next morning the girls had to be up at Toni's to get our hair done at 9:00am. I didn't want Bailey to see me AT ALL the day of our wedding, so I snuck out of the bedroom and got ready and headed up to Toni's. I will continue the wedding day post next....until then enjoy some pictures for rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.

Wedding Week!!!!!

Wedding week is FINALLY here and I can't believe it. We spent Saturday at mom's getting everything organized and ready to go for Saturday. It only took all morning and afternoon to get ourselves under control and feel like we were ready. Today started several to do's for everyone and I am so glad that I am on summer break to have a chance to breathe and get everything done.

Today I am busy packing, cleaning and getting ready for family to arrive on Thursday.

Tomorrow is hair color/cut appointment.

Wednesday is last minute shopping, packing and getting groceries for the family that is staying here.

Thursday is lunch with bridesmaids, mani/pedi, tan, family in town and hanging out for pre-wedding festivities

Friday is rehearsal and Chill to start celebrating

Saturday: THE DAY IS FINALLY HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It will be a busy week, but totally worth it. We have waited over 5 years for this day to finally get here and we can't wait to celebrate with all of our friends and family.

10 days

It's crazy to think that today we were in our last double digit day until the wedding day will arrive....we are getting anxious and excited for it to finally be here and to celebrate with friends!

Goodbye to the double digits countdown and hello to the single digits.

We have all been crazy busy with last minute little things to get taken care of, but by this Sunday we should have everything ready to go for next week. I hope everyone is as ready as we are. I can't wait to see the look on Bailey's face when he sees me for the first time in my wedding dress...HE HAS NO CLUE AND NEITHER DOES ANYONE ELSE!!!! It will definitely ALL be a surprise which is exactly how I planned it.

IT'S JUNE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The month of June has finally arrived....I CANNOT BELIEVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We will finally be Mr. and Mrs. in 17 days! I, of course am counting down until the last day of school this Friday first and then after that will begin the 2 weeks countdown to the wedding. We are getting excited and can't wait for it to finally be here. We can't wait to see and celebrate with all of our friends and family.

Bachelorette/Bachelor Weekend!

This past weekend on May 20,2011-May 22,2011, Bailey and I had out bachelorette/bachelor weekends. The girls all headed to San Antonio for a pole dancing class and a night out on the riverwalk while the boys headed to Austin to enjoy 6th street.

I don't have very many stories from the boys side, but all I know is that they all made it back and nobody got in trouble so that means is was a successful weekend!

On the other hand we girls had a fabulous weekend. It started on Friday night with Victoria and I going to dinner and a movie, Bridesmaids...HILARIOUS!!!!! We woke up around 6:00am and headed to Courtney's to begin our roadtrip to SA. It was me, Vic, Court and Zorn in the car and we had a lovely time in the car ride down there. We met Erin, Aly, Missy and Nikel as a cute little cafe called Picnikinis and enjoyed soup/sandwhiches outside. After that we headed to my surprise afternoon of a pole dancing/stripper dance class with all the girls. We had a blast dancing and showing off for each other. The class was about 2 hours and then we headed to the hotel for gifts, games and getting ready for dinner, drinks and dancing. I will not go into details because they are quite classic and shall be kept for the 8 of us who enjoyed the good times. ALL IN ALL IT WAS THE BEST BACHELORETTE PARTY EVER AND I HAVE THE GREATEST FRIENDS/FAMILY IN THE WORLD!

Now we are onto the countdown to the wedding day. I am trying to make it to the last day of school which is in 6 more school days first. Exactly 25 days until the big wedding day....24 when I wake up in the morning.

RSVP's are due tomorrow and we hoping mom gets alot of RSVP mail on her birthday tomorrow! Bailey and I are getting excited and can't wait to celebrate out big day with everyone!

HOLY MOLY-ONE MONTH!

WOW-Where did the time go? I remember when we first decided on our date and we had 534 days until the big day....we thought it would never get here. Who knew 18 months could fly by? We are so excited and think we have everything ready to go! Hope everyone is ready to party and is sending in their RSVP's!!!!!

40 days! WOW!

We can't believe that as of today we have 40 days until the big day. We are getting excited and can't wait to celebrate with all of our friends and family! :)

Couple's Shower

On Saturday, April 30th, Bailey and I enjoyed celebrating with our best friends at our couple's shower. We arrived to a colorful and festive party with fabulous decorations, a beautiful cake, tasty food and drinks and the best company you could ask for. We enjoyed the evening with the boys grilling, playing games, opening gifts, a couple's game that I won and Bailey had to karaoke "Material Girl" by Madonna for everyone and of course loud music/dancing. Never a dull moment as we celebrated at Vic and Al's house....hanging out the garage playing beer pong and the girls inside dancing to the great playlist made by the one and only Zorn herself.

We got some amazing gifts and we couldn't of asked for a better celebration. Thank you to everyone who came out to help us celebrate.

50 DAYS...

It's royal wedding day and it's 50 days until our wedding....

INVITES!

Check your mail...the invites have been mailed as of today! Hip Hip Hooray! I finished making all of the boutineers, bridesmaid bouquets and favors. Next I need to finish corsages and that should be all that I have to make...it's all coming along nicely!

FINAL DRESS FITTING WITH ALL ALTERATIONS!

Today went by so slow because I knew at the end of my day was my final dress fitting. I made sure to eat soup and fruit for lunch to make sure my dress would fit. The dress fit perfectly and all alterations were perfect, so the dress headed home with mom. I am so grateful that mom and Victoria could be there when I stepped out of the fitting room to see what it looked like. Mom practiced the bustle to make sure she could do it on June 18th.

I have everything I need to wear on the big day and I am ready to go! Bring it on....60 days from today exactly! :)

2 months

Yesterday was EXACTLY 2 months until the big day....I cannot believe it is that close, it seems impossible when we started with 18 months on our countdown. It will be here before we know it and we are getting a little more ready each and every day!

Wedding Working Weekend

This past weekend, April 9-10th, we were at mom's house working on wedding plans. Bailey and I got to mom's house on Saturday afternoon and mom and I went to Hobby Lobby to make sure we had all of our gear. That night we worked on the guest lists and addressed the inner envelopes while Bailey put stamps on all the envelopes. We talked him into helping by letting him watch redbox movies all night. Sunday mom, Aly and I working programs and finishing the invitations and then order decorations, favors, and garter. We worked hard all day with a little help from Staples (cutting and printing) which saved us alot of time!!!!! Here are some pictures so you can see all of our hardwork. Next on the list is making corsages, bouts and decorations! BUSY BUSY BUSY until the big day....67 days from today!

5 YEARS....

Today, March, 27, 2011- Bailey and I celebrate 5 years together. It was this night 5 years ago that we were standing in the kitchen at Bailey's house in college at the time and he said he needed to talk to me about something. As I stood there waiting to hear what it was, he looked at me and told me that I was the only girl that he wanted to be with and he didn't want anyone else to have the chance to have me. He then proceeded to ask me to be his girlfriend, and those of you who know me well...know how excited I was to hear those words. Of course I said YES....and really the rest is history because I knew after 3 weeks together that he was the one and I love him! Here we are 5 years strong and 83 days until our wedding day! I love you Christopher Michael!

Bridal Shower

On Saturday, March 13th, my sister and future sister-in-law hosted a bridal shower for me. They worked really hard on decorations, food, invites, gifts, games and all that hard work paid off because the shower was fabulous! We had a fun time playing games and getting to know a little bit about what answers Bailey thought he was going to trick us with. I watched as the girls grouped up and made wedding dresses out of toilet paper- that was really entertaining!!!! It was like Christmas again as I opened all these amazing gifts from everyone. I cannot say how much I appreciate everyone coming and sending gifts for Bailey and I.

100 Days from today!

Alterations

WOW! This past Saturday, February 26th, mom and I headed to the alterations place to get the final touches on my dress. It was such an amazing feeling to put my dress back on and with all of the accessories I will be wearing. I didn't want to take the dress off, but I know I get to put it back on in April when the alterations are complete. I am so excited to see what it looks like all sewn up and complete- Only 4 people know what the dress looks like and it's absolutely perfect- I can't wait to see Bailey's face when he first see's me in that dress! What a great weekend! Now we are onto invites, ordering this and that and getting the decorations in order. It is going to be a busy busy time!

Happy Valentine's Day/ 4 months until "I do"

We celebrated Valentine's Day this past Monday together. We spent the whole weekend together and then on Monday we stayed in and cooked and relaxed. Bailey got home late that night and as soon as he came in the door, he told me to go check the front door for a package. I opened the door and there were the most beautiful flowers I've ever seen. HE DID GOOD! After that he cooked dinner for two: fish, asparagus, mushroom cream sauce and bread. The night ended with a sweet card and dessert in our pj's. Last Valentine's Day to celebrate as Emily Galbraith! :)

Today is exactly 4 months until the wedding, how exciting, after this long we are so ready and everyday gets closer and closer to that exciting moment.

Crazy Weather!

The past 2 weeks has been crazy weather. Starting last Tuesday, February 1st an arctic blast came to join Texas! I didn't have school the rest of the week and then went back this Monday and Tuesday, and now here I am at home again due to weather. We will see if tomorrow is cancelled as well with the roads being covered in ice and temperatures not looking like they will be above freezing tomorrow, but we will see. Bailey and I enjoyed some days off together that were unexpected, it was cold out there but it's not like we get this weather every year in Texas so we decided to live it up. Enjoy the photos!
