Engagement P-A-R-TAY!!!!!!!

On Saturday, June 26th, Aly and Derek threw us an engagement party to celebrate with friends and family. The party was from 4-8 (but we decided it should last until 11:30) and a lot of our friends and family were able to make it out. Everyone enjoying margaritas, beer, wine, and a mexican fiesta meal. Aly made her darn good chocolate cake and decorate perfectly with our wedding colors (the cake was to die for). We all enjoyed loud music (my bad :) ), good stories, a slideshow, dancing, drinks, food and Bailey falling asleep on the floor by the end of the night. We had the greatest time celebrating and cannot wait for the BIG celebration next summer. Enjoy a couple of photos of the night with friends, family and good times. Yardwork and Garage Floor

Bailey has been working really hard to complete the garage floor so that we can organize the garage how we want it and put the seasonal stuff into the attic and fit both cars in the garage. He was been busy and finally finished laying the epoxy kit onto the garage floor- IT LOOKS AWESOME!

Slowly but surely Bailey and I have been working on the yard at our house. We are loving every minute of having a house and getting to do all the fun things like planting flowers and landscaping. Yes, I know all you long-time home owners out there hate it, but it's new for us so we are still loving it. Here are a couple of pictures of the new mulch we laid down in our front flower beds-it was a hot day but we managed to get it done and then go to Subway for lunch as our treat.

ONE YEAR FROM TODAY...

One year from today is the moment that Bailey and I have been waiting for. Get ready to dance, drink, party and celebrate June 18, 2011. We will be enjoying tonight with our best friends Victoria and Al for dinner and drinks for a Pre-Versary. Cheers to 12 months to go!

We booked the DJ!

We are starting to make some progress!

We got the venue!

As of today, we are set in stone for June 18, 2011 at The Colleyville Center for our wedding date. My mom went over today to book the venue, and now we can start planning everything! We are just so excited that we were able to get the place and date that we wanted...it couldn't have worked out better.

Over the past few weeks I have asked my sister, Aly, to be my matron of honor and my best friend, Victoria, to be my matron of honor. Bailey has asked our friend, Al, to be his best man and also his friend, Chris Gafford, to be his best man. We are starting to get things going and planning. We are still discussing some other things right now, but we will keep you posted and we started making more decisions.

MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR SURE: JUNE 18, 2011!!!!!! BRING YOUR DANCE/PARTY SHOES- BECAUSE IT WILL BE A BIG CELEBRATION!!!!

On the other hand, we spent this past weekend at the lake with my family to celebrate Memorial Day and my mom's birthday. We enjoyed the beautiful weather outside and relaxation from work. I am in my last week of school until summer, and Bailey is enjoying his 4 day week. There are some pictures below of us from this weekend. Enjoy!
